Conventional dental implants are attached to the jawbones using titanium or zirconia posts. Zygomatic implants, however, attach to the zygomatic bones of your cheek. Because of the strength and stability of this facial bone, you can often support a fixed row of teeth without bone grafts and other intensive procedures. Because zygomatic implants are so complex, very few oral surgeons are trained in this procedure, but Dr. Bennion places zygomatic implants regularly in Belgrade, MT.
